I think this is one of the best segments you’ve shared thus far.
Conceptually this piece is organized in a much more digestible
fashion, maybe more linear? More narrative? I’m still curious to
see how the aesthetics of the entire thing come together as one
piece…
I was going to ask earlier about the phrase you’ve posted
previously, “More Than Meets The Eye,” and whether or not it was
a deliberate reference to the Transformers, but now learn that it
is (which I enjoy, and was hoping to be the case). There’s
something really nice about that kind of cross referencing, I
think it makes the issues here a little more accessible for some
of your viewers, allowing them to come into the work from a less
distanced position (unless you or someone you knew was involved
in the production of these jets, it is perhaps too easy for the
viewer to stand back and watch — I think that you’ve found a way
for the viewer to access the work a little easier now, if this
makes any sense — or perhaps I’m not making my position on your
incorporation of popular culture succinct enough?) .
